Description
Family rafting, swimming and jumping in the entrance to the Verdon Gorge.
We access the edge of the Verdon via a pleasant walk (15 mins). The guide will then give you instructions on how to progress through the gorges. We enter the water, then let ourselves be carried by the current, floating and swimming. We only leave the water to bypass an obstacle (rapidly flowing, obstructed or shallow section).
We are thus committed between the impressive walls of the Verdon Gorge. Huge boulders that simply need to be climbed allow for jumps (optional) into the clear water of the Verdon.
After further (non-compulsory) jumps and stretches of whitewater, we will reach the entrance of the Samson corridor, which will mark the end of our descent. Finally, we will climb the bank to reach the stairs of the Martel path, which we will take for the return.
We find the Samson corridor viewpoint after about a 5-minute walk.
