Course of events
of the activity
Meet at 10:00 at the Adrech campsite, 6 km from St-André-les-Alpes and 30 minutes from Castellane (See access plan)
Welcome of participants by the ABOARD Rafting guides, followed by the distribution of equipment and a briefing for a descent of the Haut-Verdon in cano-raft, from Pont Clos to Pont d'Allons (approximately 10 km and 2 hours of navigation).
The guides will first explain the basic technical handling of this two-person craft and will accompany you in the kayak to show you the best routes. We will be navigating in the Gorges de Fontgaillarde.
The landscape is very wild in this high valley; the river is deeply channelled for most of the descent into the Gorges de Fontgaillarde. Beautiful waterfalls tumble directly into the Verdon.
The river has a constant current, with rapids (class II, III)See the classification of rapidscontinuously, but without any significant rapids. Bouncing turns along the cliffs follow one another until the exit of the gorges.
The end of the trail is marked by the end of the gorges, where we find our vehicles again.

- Experience in canoeing (double-bladed paddle proficiency, course control) is required.
