of the activity

Meet at 9:30 AM (or in summer at 11:30 AM and departure at 3:30 PM for the afternoon route) at our «Adventure Forest» base (See access plan)

Welcome of participants by the ABOARD Rafting guides, followed by the handing out of equipment and a safety briefing for a raft descent of the Verdon, down to the Samson corridor (approximately 22 km and 4h00 navigation).

The first part is relatively easy: it includes class II rapids (difficulty level: easy) and ends with navigating the Barre Saint Jean rapids, rated III (difficulty level: medium).See the classification of rapids).

Then, we stop for lunch by the river at our «La Pinède» beach. After having a meal and resting, we resume our navigation towards the entrance of the Gorges, which is marked by the passage of the rapid «La Dégoulinante».

The isolation of the Gorges allows you to fully enjoy nature; around us soaring cliffs rise up, reflecting in the emerald water of the Verdon. Between the rapids, we will have plenty of time to admire the work of erosion on these impressive limestone cliffs. Medium difficulty rapids (Class III) follow one another and lead us to the Couloir Samson.

The Solitaire rapid will mark the end of this descent. All that will remain is to climb back up to the Belvédère du Couloir Samson with our equipment, taking the Sentier Martel for about ten minutes to find the bus that will take us back to our «Adventure Forest» base.
