Course of events
of the activity
Meet at 10:00 at the Adrech campsite, 6 km from St-André-les-Alpes and 30 minutes from Castellane (See access plan)
Participants are welcomed by the ABOARD Rafting guides, then transferred to the starting point.
Equipment handover and briefing for a descent of the Haut-Verdon in a canoe-raft, from Pont Clos to the bridge at Allons (approx. 10 km and 2 hours navigation).
The guides will show you the basic handling techniques for this boat.
The landscape is very wild in this high valley, the river is entrenched for most of the descent into the Gorges de Fontgaillarde. Beautiful waterfalls plunge directly into the Verdon.
The river has a constant current, with rapids (class II, III)See the classification of rapidscontinuously. Bouncy turns on the cliffs follow one after another until the exit of the gorges.
The end of the trail is marked by the end of the gorges, where we find our vehicles again.
